Club Activities and Learning
The continuous comprehensive evaluation(CCE) and the club activities at our school remind us that academics isn't all.
As unique creatures created by GOD ,rather than mass manufactured products,it gives us opportunities to spread out our wings and master our talents; to perfect ourselves.
This year's club activities witnessed a number of productive programmes conducted every month for students from class VIII to X.The various clubs and their co-ordinators have done their best to make effective use of the limited time available.
The clubs also participated in the cleaning campaign organised in October ,for cleaning the school premises. The different clubs put in their best efforts to make their alloted areas look the best.
Along with the support of members from other clubs, the social service club paid a visit to an orphanage.A group of 25 students along with teachers were involved in this.A sense of social responsibility has been created and it has sensitised us to social issues,to look beyond our own matters.
The culmination of the club activities, the SYNERGY 2014 held in November saw students working together to sell items for charity, conduct quiz competitions, treasure hunts and power point presentations. It helped to inculcate in us the spirit of teamwork, coordination and unity.
Learning,I think, is a lifelong process, which is not mugging up texts and spitting it out for the sake of exams. It is meant to have a formative impact on the individual. The essence of learning is happiness. The club activities at our school this year has definitely helped us to realise this truth of life.It has moulded us into responsible individuals who are ready to face the unpredictable ,work without losing hope and come out in flying colours .
