Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation
I am studying in a CBSE school. Last year onwards we started having the new method of teaching-CCE method-Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation.This is a method of teaching giving importance to projects and other extra curricular activities.
In our school we have a CCE period. Different teachers take different subjects like maths,science,home science,music,art,dramatics,quiz and so on and so forth.In my class the CCE subject was maths.We all thought it will be a really boring one and we couldn't imagine!The first CCE starting with maths!What a dreadful thing,we thought. But it was really interesting.We learnt about the Napiers bones system of multiplication,pascals triangle and a wonderful maths puzzle.We were rather competitive in doing these problems but this added colour to our first CCE.
Our next one was craft in which we were asked to make a beautiful flower and any other craft items also.My flower was OK but my other activity that is a house and its surroundings made of pulses,tea leaves and collage work was a fantastic one-that is what everyone says!
Currently we are having home science in which the teachers taught us how to remove ink stains, how to clean mirrors and glasses, how to make pizza and bread pudding and last of all some yoga.We were asked to make pizzas and bread pudding!The funniest fact of all is that boys also have to make this!
