My Best Friend

My best friend is of course not a man,
My best friend is very cute

She has wings to fly too!

I can say any wish to her,
She will grand it for me!
And make me fly above the sky!
And take me to beautiful lands,
Where lots of fairies,
And happiness is all around!

But my best friend is not at home,
Neither at school.
She's an imaginary one,
I wish she would be real!

Now, can you guess
Who my best friend is?

A cute little fairy herself!

    you have many wonders in the fairy land, isn't it, jasmin? you wish anything there and immediately you get it. wish two and two to add up to ten and it will be ten for sure there. if anyone questions the logic, the fairies will raise their eyebrows and politely say: "may i know what business you have here? may i know whether you have an entry pass to fairy land?"

    Hi Jasmin,

    Good writing dear, keep it up.

    I went through your earlier poems and loved the one about some trees having fruit while some dont, and yet being beautiful all the same.

    If only more grown-ups would see things that way, the world would be a better place to live in.

Nizamuddin Dargah at night is a beauty unparalleled. Though I've been to the place quite a few times and all in the mornings and despised the state of the place at all times, the dargah at night made me fall in love with each of its corners that I despised and each of its people that I felt sorry for.  There is something magical about its air once the sun sets. Adorned in the soft glow of  yellow lights and coloured papers that hang mid air, the dargah and its narrow alleyways are a sight to behold. And then there are those small shops inside its alleys, selling rose petals, colourful 'chadars', athars, rings and tasbis that beam in the glory of the night, adding to the mystique of the place.
