The son of India

The Most fierce animal of all!
His Pictures are on the wall
He has the colour and glory of the sun
He is Mother India's son !

But why , why is this happening?
Is India not loving those poor animals?

They are lost one by one,

Why, why is India not protecting them?

But friends, we must protect each and every tiger

So let's put our hands together and work

    Not only the tiger, but many other species of animals and plants are vanishing from the earth because of man's greed. The tiger is being hunted down by man for its skin and also bones (some people are under the supersticion that tiger bone has medicinal properties). We have strict laws for punishing those who kill the tiger or trade in tiger parts. We have also many tiger reserves in our country to protect it. But day by day the number of tigers is coming down because there is no remedy for man's greed. There are many brave people fighting for tiger conservation in our country, forcing the government to strengthen protection measures in the forests and also catch the greedy men who are trading in tiger parts. More of us should join this fight.
    Do you know why it is important to protect all animals and plants? It is because we all depend on one another to survive on earth.

Nizamuddin Dargah at night is a beauty unparalleled. Though I've been to the place quite a few times and all in the mornings and despised the state of the place at all times, the dargah at night made me fall in love with each of its corners that I despised and each of its people that I felt sorry for.  There is something magical about its air once the sun sets. Adorned in the soft glow of  yellow lights and coloured papers that hang mid air, the dargah and its narrow alleyways are a sight to behold. And then there are those small shops inside its alleys, selling rose petals, colourful 'chadars', athars, rings and tasbis that beam in the glory of the night, adding to the mystique of the place.
