Suruma Writes On...

I wandered along the lonely streets, In the presence of light, Couldn't remember how I'm here, Walking along the empty ways! I dreamt one day, Of corals and fishes, Of lakes and trees, And a dozen more..... But my dream,of seas and landscapes; Nothing could I see. Just the dark empty streets, Of an unknown place. My temptations to reach My destination; But my legs are not allowing me They're holding me back! The more I walk,the more I rest. Am getting old, I realize, I think,'must be here all time' But my faith and hope, Keeps me travelling Near and far,here and there. Only to reach another place of loneliness......... And never to my destination!

I saw her! The young girl,sitting At the corner of the street, Begging for pennys. Low was her threshold to cold, Teeth stuck to each other, Trembling like a leaf, On a stormy night. Abbeys walking past her, Wearing white for easter Facing towards the shops Not a single look ,upon her! The hefty ones Gave her a crooked smile, A weird look, And walked along briskly. Her mind coerced her for work, Work made her thinner and thinner, Bones seen outside, Clearly and brightly. My mom came, picked me up, A last glimpse I gave her- She was now far away from me But the world still has no boundaries........

It pitters and patters, With a mild breeze, It has a beautiful smell The cloudy,  dark sky Birds chirp at it, Leaves shatter, And cats,  Leave their ways. The sound of the gushing water, From the longest of the pipes, Forming  puddles, Within the blink of an eye. Children wading, Splashing water, Crows bathing And drying up the feather. I just  looked up at the sky, When it  fell on my eye. But it did no harm,   ........ C' z  its the rain!

I'm growing again, No wonder But I want my childhood back! When I had my school cap on, Time to play,to count the days, And to make things with clay! My first day at school, That horrible day, When I had no friends. My bag and me left out! But then, it was friends Who made life comfortable. Teachers are mothers , But not with us everywhere. I found this out When I was big. But my memorable years When fun had no grade When friends had no pride Lovely cuty years But all gone... Looking back again at my childhood, The memorable moments of life , Which never die!

More than our mother nation, To save the Earth is our mission. She who gave birth to us, Give back her a kiss. Once it was a peace land With trees and plants; But now it has a change Cutting trees,strange. Waste here and there Not a single care! Killing animals Changing ahimsa to himsa. It is our duty To love the earth just like our mother So let us put our hands together, To' CONSERVE OUR PLANET'
